Designer James Piatt has introduced these new prototypes for a future concept phone called the “Plica” in answer to the cell phones industry being at a crossroads between small phones and big screens. This phone could double as a sub-notebook computer and would utilize both the iPhone implementation of an all touch screen and the run of the mill clam shell design so popular in phones today.

So rumor has it that Microsoft might be coming out with a new keyboard as early as September. The sidewinder can have the number pad on the left and on the right. So it accommodates you lefties out there. Many of the keys have LED’s that can maybe glow. In case you missed those gigantic buttons on the top of the keyboard, they might be used to scroll through you playlist on itunes.
